Very High Energy Group for Astrophysics

Observing the
EXTREME Universe

We explore the high-energy phenomena of the cosmos through advanced gamma-ray data analysis and theoretical modeling of sources and physical processes.

Welcome to VHEGA

We are a research group at the Instituto de Astrofísica de Andalucía-CSIC (IAA-CSIC) that investigates the most violent events in the universe through multi-wavelength observations.

We are specialized in the study of AGNs and galactic compact objects and their environments, mainly through radio, optical, and very high-energy gamma-ray observations.

On this website, you can explore the research performed by our group, meet our members, find contact information, and discover our latest publications.
